Hazardous Candy

 

I know we eat and drink chemicals every day, but here's a product
that has a warning on its package. The most disturbing part to me is

that this candy is being marketed to children! If you're a parent buying

this for your kids you must have a problem.

The package contains two warnings. One of the warnings has very 

specific instructions on how to eat their hazardous candy: CHOKING

HAZARD. DO NOT EAT EACH JELLY AS WHOLE PIECE, CHEW

IT CAREFULLY, NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5

YEARS. How is it suitable for any child? The second warning explains

that their product can expose you to the chemicals lead, cadmium, and

acrylamide. They also say those chemicals are known to cause cancer, 

birth defects, or reproductive harm. This candy sounds as dangerous 

as cigarettes and alcohol. Nobody should be eating this stuff, especially

children.
